Ethics & confidentiality

Care held inside a clear framework.

Therapy only works where safety is explicit. These are the standards this practice commits to, in writing.

Confidentiality

What is shared in session stays in session. Notes are stored securely and encrypted, never shared without written consent.

Limits of confidentiality

Confidentiality is broken only where there is serious risk of harm to you or another person, or where required by law.

Informed consent

You will always know the approach being used, the likely length of work, and are free to pause or end at any point.

Supervision

Clinical practice is regularly supervised. Cases are discussed anonymously to keep the quality of care high.

Your rights

You are never the passive party

Ethical practice means power in the room is shared. These rights hold from the first consultation onwards.

Raise a question or concern
  • To ask about the therapist's training, approach and experience at any time.
  • To request a copy of the notes held about you.
  • To have your data deleted after the statutory retention period.
  • To end therapy without explanation or penalty.
  • To raise a concern and receive a written response within ten working days.
